Eastern CT Chamber of Commerce will launch an 8-week Entrepreneur Academy for applicants exploring starting a business. The academy will feature a 90-minute course one evening a week starting July 14. Each class will be presented by business experts. The Entrepreneur Academy is made possible by a grant provided by Thames River Innovation Places (TRIP) and CTNext. The courses are free of charge. Qualified applicants must be willing to commit to at least 8 classes. Although Zoom presentations will be available, attendees are encouraged to attend the sessions in person. THE GRAND OPENING

Asurion Tech Repair & Solutions will hold a grand opening celebration July 16 from noon to 2 p.m. at its new Groton store. The Connecticut Airport Authority recently celebrated the anticipated opening of the Ground Transportation Center in Bradley International Airport with the ribbon cutting ceremony. The $210 million facility is on track to open to the public in mid-July with improved access to rental cars, 830 new public parking spaces and future public transit options.
