More on Main Street Electric Parade
Disneyland’s official website describes this beloved parade as follows:
Watch over half a million lights twinkle as this pageant spectacular comes home for its 50th anniversary of magic and imagination at night
Led by the iconic train and drum unit featuring Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and Goofy – the Main Street Electric Parade fills the street with iconic music, light-up displays and fantastic scores depicting scenes from films such as Alice in Wonderland, Cinderella, Pinocchio, Peter Pan, along with the charming and whimsical Elliot Dragon from the Disney classic Pete’s Dragon.
New to the parade for its 50th anniversary is a grand finale float that celebrates the theme of coming together, reflected in a design that brings together characters and moments from more than a dozen beloved Disney and Pixar stories. These stylized scenes – performed in thousands of flashing lights and electro-synth-magnetic musical sounds – bring to light classic and contemporary favorites such as Encanto, The Jungle Book, Raya and the Last Dragon, Princess and the Frog, Coco, Mulan and more. Inspired by both the design of the classic Main Street Electric Parade floats and Disney Legend Mary Blair’s ‘it’s a small world’ art style, the new grand finale float is one of the longest and most the greats in the parade’s 50-year history!
Over the past 50 years, generations of guests have gathered to enjoy the magical splendor of this pageant. Be sure to catch it! The Electric Main Street Parade will be available for a limited time at Disneyland Park.
