It’s no surprise that the 2022 Subaru Crosstrek is among the six best-selling new vehicles this year. It’s a surprise, the 2022 Subaru Ascent 3-Row family hauler is also among the best new models in the second quarter of 2022. The Crosstrek has been America’s hottest model all year. The Ascent has had a four-month increase in sales since March.
A report from Motor Bisquit says that six notable new vehicles that are the best sellers in the second quarter of 2022 are the Ford Mustang Mach-E, BMW 4-Series, Subaru Crosstrek, Subaru Ascent, Jeep Compass and Honda HR-V. .

The 2022 Subaru Crosstrek subcompact SUV continues to be hot, with 10,675 subcompact SUVs delivered to customers in June. That’s a massive 66.4 percent increase over June 2021 sales (6,415). The Crosstrek is the second best-selling all-wheel drive model for SOA, with 70,050 models delivered to customers during the first six months compared to 64,214 sold in 2021.
The Crosstrek is one of the few models with a sales increase in 2022, up 9.1 percent this year. The Ascent 3-Row SUV is the only other Subaru SUV to grow in 2022 (+9.0%).
What is the 2022 Crosstrek price?
The 2022 Subaru Crosstrek comes in five customer trim levels. The base model is priced from $24,320, Premium ($25,470), Sport ($28,670), Limited ($30,170) and Crosstrek Hybrid ($37,520). Prices include destination and shipping charges that increase ($1,175).
Should customers wait for the 2023 Subaru Crosstrek?
The 2023 Crosstrek will remain unchanged with no new upgrades. There is no advantage to wait as all trim levels of the 2023 Subaru Crosstrek receive a price increase of $600, including destination and delivery charges. Dealer fees increased by $50 for 2023 Crosstrek trims.
The 2023 Crosstrek base model is priced at $24,870, Premium, ($26,020), new Special Edition ($27,970), Sport ($29,220), Limited ($30,720) and Crosstrek Hybrid ($38,070). Prices include destination and delivery charges ($1,225).

The 2022 Subaru Ascent 3-Row family hauler has been on sale for nearly a year, but now it’s making a comeback. Subaru of America reports Ascent sales are up again in June, rising for the fourth consecutive month by 7.9 percent, with 5,603 3-row SUVs delivered to customers compared to 5,192 in June 2021.
The Ascent is just one of two Subaru SUVs (along with the Crosstrek) that are on sale in the first five months. The Ascent is up 9.0 percent year-to-date, with 30,931 3-row SUVs sold to families in 2022.
What is the price of Ascension 2022?
The base 2022 Subaru Ascent starts at $33,970 and the Premium starts at $36,470. The new Ascent Onyx Edition starts at $39,670. The top-level Limited starts at $41,270, and the top-of-the-line Touring model has a starting MSRP of $47,120. Price includes destination charges ($1,175).
Why customers should wait for Ascension 2023
U.S. customers who can wait until this fall may want to hold on tight for the newly updated 2023 Ascent 3-Row SUV. Ascent 2023 gets a refresh with new features and improvements.
