UC San Diego Health is ranked #1 regionally by US News & World Report 2022

According to 2022-2023 US News & World Report The Best Hospitals survey has once again ranked UC San Diego Health #1 in San Diego and #5 in California, placing it among the top healthcare providers in the country. Designed to assist patients and physicians in making informed health care decisions, these annual rankings recognize hospitals that excel in providing multidisciplinary, comprehensive care for the most challenging health conditions.

According to 2022-2023 US News & World Report The Best Hospitals survey has once again ranked UC San Diego Health #1 in San Diego and #5 in California, placing it among the top healthcare providers in the country.

For the 2022-2023 ranking and assessments, US News & World Report evaluated more than 4,500 hospitals in 15 specialties and 20 procedures and conditions. Across the 15 specialties, 164 hospitals were ranked in at least one specialty. Among them, UC San Diego Health ranks in 10 specialties:

UC San Diego Health is also rated as “high performing” in 17 common procedures and conditions, which cover a spectrum of care from heart procedures and stroke care to orthopedic surgery and cancer, including three additional conditions this year: uterine cancer, prostate cancer. and ovarian cancer.
